The Ecotourism-Extraction Nexus: Political Economies and Rural Realities of (un)Comfortable Bedfellows by

Ecotourism and natural method extraction may be seen as contradictory pursuits, yet in reality they often take place part by part, sometimes even supported by the same foundations. Existing academic and custom humanity generally overlook the phenomenon of ecotourism in areas concurrently affected by extraction industries, but such a scenario is in evidence increasingly common in method-rich third everybody countries. This doctor figure conceptualises and empirically reasonings the ‘ecotourism-extraction core’ within the frame of reference of broader rural and work reversals in the sets where these movements occur. The figure’s central premise is that these seemingly contradictory movements are empirically and conceptually more alike than often imagined, and that they share commutuality in ethnographic lived practices in rural settings and broader political economic structures of omnipotence and instruct.
